JGA was founded by John Grogan, who lives in the Rossendale Valley, in 2009. The firm are certainly not a typical accountancy practice. Whilst JGA do provide accountancy services to a number of retained business and individual clients, the bulk of the work that the practice carries out is forensic accountancy.
The firm has an outstanding reputation within its field for being a genuine expert witness practice. JGA work on the instructions of solicitors and insurers to provide expert evidence and reports to assist the Courts in an extensive range of litigation matters and where accountancy issues arise.
Most of the instructions that JGA receive come from matrimonial lawyers, but the firm is also in demand as experts in other areas too. These include cases of professional negligence, clinical negligence, personal injury, commercial disputes and criminal defence.
The firm’s credentials are backed up by their continued and current experience of general accountancy practice. A range of traditional accountancy services and tax advice are offered to a select group of retained clients. JGA take pride in being able to offer bespoke services that meet the individual needs of each client.
JGA operate through client-facing offices in Manchester, Liverpool and London, but conduct most of their detailed work from their main office at Kingfisher Business Centre – just 10 minutes from John Grogan’s home. A high proportion of JGA’s work comes from solicitors in London, but as the majority of its operations are carried out in the North West, JGA are able to offer highly competitive fee rates for clients in London and South East.
The full meeting room facilities, and car parking, that are available at Kingfisher Business Centre enable JGA to welcome clients and contacts as required, if Rawtenstall happens to be the most convenient location to meet.
